Oversees the development and ongoing editing of unit-specific forms and patient education materials including promoting knowledge of oncology and effects for patients, support partner(s), and care providers. Monitors surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement and reporting key results at Leadership Team meetings. Develops and oversees pre and post-op teaching classes, coordinating teaching materials with the physicians’ office. Tracks and documents data for National Consortium of Breast Centers Quality Program and National Accreditation Program for Breast Center accreditation. Informs and educates patients about their breast imaging results and post-biopsy home care. Provides education, support, and assistance to patients diagnosed with breast cancer, advocating for timely access to care and treatment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Customer service focused. [Required] Able to communicate with patients, family, and staff in a professional, friendly manner. [Required] Proven working relationship with surgeons. [Required] Strong detail-orientation and follow-up capacity. [Required] Excellent organizational skills. [Required] Education: Bachelor's of Nursing [Required] Field of Study: N/A Work Experience: 3+ experience [Required Able to complete and/or experience with all job responsibilities. [Required] Experience with patient/staff education. [Required] Proven leadership experience, having managed resources either directly or within the implementation of new initiative.
