We are actively hiring for an Insurance Analyst III, Claims Insights! Join us and support CSAA IG in achieving our goals. Key Responsibilities • Perform research, modeling, forecasting and coordination of data collection from Claims and other groups. • Review and interpret current reporting, identifying trends to improve operational efficiency, product performance. • Lead complex analyses to understand the root causes of underlying trends and effectively communicate findings to senior management. • Understand and deliver insights by monitoring internal claims loss data and incorporating industry trends. • Support accountability and ownership in the claims process by providing an accurate and unbiased picture of claims operations. • Leverage industry data and knowledge to evaluate results in relation to industry benchmarks. • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders in Claims, Product, Actuarial, Finance and Technology to identify new trends and initiatives. • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts. Required Experience, Education and Skills • 5+ years of directly related experience • Excellent research, statistical, analytical, processing and mathematical skills with ability to structure and conduct analyses • Strong proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, Snowflake, Visual Basic, Power BI and various structured analysis and design techniques • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint as we work with these tools daily • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience • Adaptability and the capability of multi-tasking and strong time management • Ability to make effective formal presentations • Ability to work in a team environment • Solid communication and presentation skills (written, verbal, and listening) What would make us excited about you? • Knowledge of insurance and rate-making concepts • Pursuit or completion of industry-relevant continuing education, including graduate degrees, MBS, risk and insurance designations from The Institutes (AINS, AIC, ARM, CPCU, etc.), and actuarial exams and designations (ACAS, FCAS, CERA). • Advanced degree in related field • Demonstrated analytical agility and curiosity.
