[Remote] Senior Software Architect- Remote (USA)

They are seeking a Senior Software Architect to shape and lead the design of modern, cloud-native platforms that power their AI and data-driven solutions. Responsibilities • Define and lead architecture of complex, cloud-based systems focused on scalability, reliability, and security • Design and evolve data architectures, including data models, pipelines, and lifecycle practices • Translate product and business requirements into robust technical designs • Establish best practices across software design, development workflows, and deployment strategies • Evaluate and integrate cloud platforms, databases, and supporting technologies • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams • Review system designs and implementations with clear architectural guidance • Maintain architectural documentation for long-term maintainability • Improve development processes, tooling, and engineering methodologies • Implement data governance and security standards • Guide adoption of modern architectural patterns and emerging technologies • Contribute hands-on to Python-based backend and data systems when needed Skills • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline • 8+ years of professional software development experience, with strong cloud architecture focus • Deep experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud • Proven experience designing large-scale distributed systems • Strong foundation in software architecture principles and design patterns • Solid expertise in SQL and NoSQL database systems • Experience with data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and governance models • Strong proficiency in Python; experience with additional modern languages is a plus • Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices • System-level analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and leadership abilities • Comfortable working in agile, collaborative environments Company Overview • Startups can’t afford to wait 6 weeks for a maybe.
