Virtual Sitter​/Caregiver - NIGHTS ; Onsight

Position: Virtual Sitter / Caregiver - NIGHTS 7p-7a (ONSIGHT) Overview Signature Health CARE is a family-based healthcare company offering integrated services across multiple states. How you will make a difference • Complete continuous visualization of the resident via remote monitoring equipment. Continuous visual observation of resident(s) using a room safety camera to identify potential harm to self or others. This includes dislodging of drains, tubes, IVs, getting up unassisted, etc. • Communicate with facility nurses to determine when cameras should be adjusted for privacy during daily care, physician visits, etc. • Obtain a verbal report from the resident’s nurse, including ambulation limitations and course of action for redirection, care needs, diagnosis, and any special considerations (NPO status, bed alarms, mobility restrictions, etc.). • Collaborate with the manager for concerns not requiring immediate physical intervention. • Observe the resident’s activity and behavior and redirect the resident as needed. If indicated, immediately notify floor nurses of the need for physical intervention (such as toileting assistance, assisting resident to lie back in bed, moving an item closer, etc.). • Identify safety risks and communicate the need to escalate assistance to the residents. • Function cooperatively as a team member, responding to the directive of the responsible nurse to changing resident’s/unit’s needs. • Communicate in a professional manner and demonstrate respect for residents, families/significant others, and other health care members.
