Java Solutions Architect – Forensic Science
Required skills:• Technical Skills:o Proficiency in software architecture design, including microservices, APIs, and database management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).o Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, encryption, and secure data storage for sensitive forensic data.o Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#) and integration tools (e.g., REST, SOAP, middleware).Job Summary:The Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing technology solutions tailored to the unique needs of forensic science applications entailing all forensic services provided by the NYPD. This role involves collaborating with forensic scientists, forensic executives, law enforcement, and development teams to create scalable, secure, and efficient systems that support forensic analysis, evidence management, and data-driven investigations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for advancing forensic science through technology.
