Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Creates programming that processes, stores, and serves data for use by others, ensuring data quality and accessibility standards are met.

• Writes ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, designs database systems, and develops tools for real-time and offline analytical processing.
• Creates data pipelines that are flexible, repeatable, and secure, ensuring data consistency and integrity.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in data engineering; OR a Master's degree in a technical discipline.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions, driving improvement of results and finding solutions.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• A Master's degree in a technical discipline, such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
• Experience with REST API development, Azure application development, and Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Functions.
• Experience building Azure DevOPS pipelines to enable CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Iaas), and automation.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java, and experience with data engineering tools and technologies.
