Airbnb Outreach Copywriter (STR / Co-Hosting Experience Required – Writing Only)
Job Description
I’m looking for an experienced copywriter who understands Airbnb host psychology and Airbnb-safe outreach.
This role is writing and strategy only.
You will not be sending messages, accessing my Airbnb account, or managing conversations.
Your job is to help me build a repeatable, platform-safe outreach system that starts conversations with individual Airbnb hosts (1–5 listings) without sounding salesy or triggering defensiveness.
If you’ve never written Airbnb or STR-specific outreach before, this role will not be a fit.
⚠️ Important – Please Read Carefully
This is not a role where you write custom messages for every listing.
You will not:
Write bespoke messages per host
Send or manage Airbnb DMs
Log into my Airbnb account
Close or negotiate deals
You will:
Create outreach templates that can be reused safely
Explain the psychology and reasoning behind each message
Define exactly how messages should be lightly personalised
Help me understand how to reply to hosts correctly
Scope of Work
1️⃣ Initial Airbnb Outreach Templates
You will create 3 short Airbnb DM templates designed to start conversations (not pitch).
Each template should:
Be Airbnb-safe and conversational
Follow the same core structure with slight tonal variation
Include clear placeholders for light personalisation (e.g. area, listing detail)
These templates will be reused across my lead list.
2️⃣ Explanation & Psychology
For each template, you will explain:
Why it’s structured the way it is
What psychological triggers it uses
What it intentionally avoids saying (and why)
What type of host the message is best suited for
I want to understand how and why the message works, not just copy it blindly.
3️⃣ Personalisation Rules
You will clearly outline:
Which parts of the message should be personalised
How much personalisation is enough (e.g. one short line)
What should never be mentioned or personalised
The goal is to keep messages human without rewriting them completely.
4️⃣ Follow-Up Messages
You will write 2 universal follow-up messages:
Follow-up #1: gentle nudge
Follow-up #2: polite close-the-loop
These will be used only for non-responders and should remain non-pushy and Airbnb-safe.
5️⃣ Response Guidance
Instead of full conversation scripts, you will provide:
Guidance on how I should reply to common host responses (e.g. “we’re managing fine”, curiosity, soft rejection)
Example replies for 3–5 common scenarios
Brief explanation of why those responses keep the conversation alive
Where the Work Should Be Created:
All templates, explanations, and guidance should be delivered in Google Docs (or a single well-organised document).
No per-lead writing inside my Google Sheet is required.
The system should be easy to reference and reuse long-term.
What I Will Provide:
A qualified lead list (already collected and scored)
Clear ICP and host psychology
Offer framing (low-risk co-hosting / optimisation)
Feedback based on real outreach results once messages are live
Who This Is For
You are a good fit if you:
Have written for Airbnb, STR, property management, or co-hosting businesses
Understand Airbnb’s sensitivity to tone and message volume
Prefer calm, human messaging over aggressive persuasion
Think in systems, not one-off scripts
You are not a fit if you:
Write sales-heavy first messages
Rely on hype or guarantees
Haven’t worked with Airbnb or STR-related clients before
Screening Questions (Required)
1. Have you written Airbnb or STR outreach before? Briefly explain.
2. Why is Airbnb outreach different from email or LinkedIn outreach?
3. What is a safe daily DM volume on Airbnb, and why?
4. Write a 2–3 sentence Airbnb DM whose only goal is to start a conversation (no selling).
Applications without thoughtful answers will be ignored.
