Business Analyst (Wealth Management) - Consultant, Banking & Financial Services Consulting

About the position The Business Analyst (Wealth Management) Consultant role at Cognizant involves delivering strategic consulting services within the Banking and Financial Services sector. The position focuses on understanding client needs, gathering requirements, and ensuring high-quality deliverables while contributing to the overall success of the consulting practice. The consultant will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to develop innovative solutions and enhance business performance. Responsibilities • Efficiently lead the conversation, gather requirements from Business, understand concerns, identify risks, and communicate them in a timely fashion. , • Document the application system by following multiple cross-functional requirements. , • Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development. , • Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production to ensure maximum usability. , • Partner with stakeholders across business units to develop analyses and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively with production, managerial, and executive teams. , • Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, maintaining systems processes and delivering monthly status reports to all appropriate parties. , • Make quick informed decisions, understand clear priorities, and escalate as needed. , • Deliver innovative solutions to address critical business needs, demonstrating agility and the ability to pivot plans and execute. Requirements • Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience. , • Minimum 3-5 years of Business Analyst experience in Wealth Management/Banking & Financial Services is mandatory. , • Ability to coordinate well with business and product teams and independently analyze and propose solutions. , • Experience as a Business Analyst in Wealth Management, specifically in Wealth Infrastructure and Separately Managed Accounts. , • Good knowledge of APIs testing & Postman. , • Good SQL querying skills to work with AWS Database. , • Good knowledge of Trading operations in the Asset and Wealth Management domain. , • Good knowledge of Asset management areas like SMAs, UMAs, Managed products, Advisor driven services, Fees settlement & operational support. , • Ability to define test cases, document test plans, manage JIRA boards, and possess strong oral and written communication skills. , • Demonstrated experience in problem-solving and developing products from scratch. , • Experience in bringing together cross-functional teams and leading execution in an agile delivery model. , • Ability to handle ambiguity and white space. , • Demonstrated examples of building and launching products.
