This role is ideal for a dietitian who is enthusiastic about guiding behavior change, building community, and delivering structured, evidence-based group education that transforms lives.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead or support virtual group classes, including Prevent T2 and MNT programs, following our structured, evidence-based curriculum.
• Foster a culturally sensitive, inclusive, and welcoming group environment that supports all participants.
• Serve as an empathetic, active, and visible leader during all group sessions, using warmth, stories, humor, and affirmation to build trust and connection.
• Spark change through positive reinforcement, SMART goal setting, motivational coaching, and growth mindset techniques.
• Stay organized and on-track during sessions—managing group flow, coordinating with staff, and ensuring accurate data collection (attendance, minutes, SOAP notes, etc.)
• Confidently answer participant questions using science-based guidance on nutrition, movement, stress, sleep, and sustainable habit change—knowing when to refer to a specialist when needed.
• Prepare ahead of each session by reviewing curriculum and materials, showing up consistently and reliably.
• Assist as a backup leader if the primary group coach is unavailable, ensuring continuity of care.
Qualifications
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.
• Familiarity with group Medical Nutrition Therapy and/or diabetes prevention preferred.
• Strong understanding of behavioral science and habit change strategies (e.g., cue–routine–reward, habit stacking, reflection exercises).
• Interest in becoming a certified Lifestyle Coach for the Prevent T2 program (training support available).
• Bonus if experienced in leading virtual group programs, particularly on Zoom.
• Comfortable with program logistics—tracking attendance, managing reminders, documenting SOAP notes, and communicating with support staff.
• Culturally competent and flexible in coaching style to meet participants where they are.
Who You Are
• Empathetic communicator: You listen actively without judgment, validate others’ experiences, and build trust through consistency and authenticity.
• Motivational and inspiring: You naturally uplift others and bring positive energy, using stories, affirmations, and celebration to keep participants engaged.
• Behavior change expert: You know how to help people take small steps that lead to big, sustainable changes.
• Organized and independent: You’re proactive, self-directed, and always prepared to deliver an impactful session.
• Culturally sensitive and inclusive: You create a safe, affirming space where everyone feels seen and supported.
• Energetic and community-focused: You understand that accountability and connection are as important as education—and you know how to foster both.
