Sever (temp-to-perm)
Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization based in Harlem, is seeking a dedicated and energetic Server for their Promise Academy Kitchen Department. This is a contract-to-hire position with flexible working hours from Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM ? 2:30 PM. The position offers competitive pay ranging from $20?$25 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Duties
? Serve meals and interact with guests to ensure excellent customer service
? Plate meals according to portion sizes and menu specifications
? Set up and break down the serving lines before and after meals
? Maintain sanitary conditions by following ?Clean as you Go? practices
? Assist in maintaining salad bars, milk chest, and other food stations
? Provide students with information on the daily menu, special items, and allergens
? Gather feedback from students on food quality and service
? Stand for long periods, lift supplies, and work in various temperature conditions
Qualifications
? High School Diploma (Associate?s Degree or higher preferred)
? Valid DOH NYC Food Protection Certificate
? Minimum 2 years of experience in food service or customer service
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? Ability to handle high-pressure situations and guest complaints
? Basic culinary knowledge and ability to follow instructions
