Bookkeeper or Accountant (Remote - LATAM) About The Role • We are a rapidly growing company seeking a finance professional—either a dedicated Bookkeeper or a more experienced Accountant—to support the financial operations for a portfolio of three active companies: two flooring businesses and one e-commerce venture. • This role is designed to strengthen our internal financial operations and support the coordination of day-to-day financial activities across multiple business units. While the primary focus is bookkeeping and financial record management, the role will also work closely with operations and leadership to ensure that financial transactions, vendor payments, and collections are executed accurately and efficiently. • We are primarily seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper, but we are open to hiring a more experienced Accountant if the candidate demonstrates strong technical ability and operational judgment. The level we hire for will depend on the expertise and demonstrated aptitude of the candidates who move forward. • The role requires familiarity with U.S. accounting and bookkeeping practices and the ability to operate in a fast-moving environment supporting multiple entities. Key Responsibilities • Transaction Management & Financial Operations Manage day-to-day financial transactions across three companies, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections follow-ups, and coordination of payment schedules. • Vendor & Payment Coordination Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure invoices are properly reviewed, documented, and processed for payment according to company policies. • QuickBooks Management Maintain financial records and manage day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online (QBO), ensuring accurate categorization of transactions and proper documentation. • Multi-Entity Financial Tracking Maintain organized financial records across multiple entities and support the preparation of internal financial reports. • Cash Flow Coordination Assist leadership in tracking upcoming payments, receivables, and short-term cash needs to ensure smooth operational execution. • Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve financial workflows, documentation standards, and internal processes that support operational scalability. • Reporting & Support Prepare financial summaries and support leadership with financial visibility needed for operational decisions. Required Qualifications • Experience: 5-10 years of professional bookkeeping and/or accounting experience, demonstrating the ability to manage the books for multiple entities concurrently. • Technical Expertise (MUST HAVE): Deep proficiency and hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO). • Bilingual Fluency (CRITICAL): Fluency in both Portuguese and English is strongly required. Fluency in Spanish is also highly valued. • US Financial Acumen: Strong working knowledge of U.S. accounting standards and experience handling the books for U.S. companies. • Location: Open to candidates across LATAM, with preference given to candidates based in Brazil or Colombia due to language and regional familiarity.
