Inpatient CDI Specialist (CCDS/CDIP) – Fully Remote

Fully Remote | W-2 Only | Multiple Openings We are seeking experienced Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Specialists for fully remote opportunities supporting a large acute care healthcare system. Openings Available: • Rochester, MN area schedule: • Sunday–Thursday | 8:00am–5:00pm CSTDuration: Through 12/31/2026 with likely extension • Jacksonville, FL area schedule: Monday–Friday | Business Hours ESTDuration: 1 year assignment Responsibilities: • Perform concurrent inpatient clinical documentation reviews • Identify documentation improvement opportunities related to severity of illness (SOI), risk of mortality (ROM), and quality outcomes • Conduct DRG reconciliation and clinical validation reviews • Issue compliant physician queries • Collaborate with coding, nursing, case management, and provider teams • Support accurate coding, reimbursement, and documentation compliance • Review mortality, PSI/HAC, and quality-related cases as needed Required Qualifications: • 3+ years of inpatient CDI experience • Current production CDI experience within the last 12 months • Active CCDS or CDIP certification • One of the following credentials: • RN, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, RRT, or MD • Strong knowledge of MS-DRG/APR-DRG methodology • Experience with concurrent inpatient chart reviewPreferred: • Risk adjustment or HCC experience • Experience in academic medical centers or large acute care hospitals • PSI/HAC review experience • Prior remote CDI experience • Experience with Epic, Cerner, 3M360, Iodine, Optum, Solventum, or similar systems Additional Information: • Fully remote opportunity • Candidates must provide their own equipment setup (laptop/dual monitors) • Must be authorized to work in the United States • No Corp-to-Corp (C2C) • W-2 only #AJ1 Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Vision insurance Experience: • inpatient CDI: 3 years (Required) • academic medical center or large acute care hospital: 3 years (Required) License/Certification: • CCDS or CDIP certification (Required) Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
