Position Overview
We are currently seeking a meticulous and well-organized individual to join our team as a Data Entry Clerk on a PRN (as-needed) basis, working 10-20 hours per week. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while maintaining the convenience of a flexible schedule. The position is open to candidates located in the Washington, NC or Greenville, NC areas.
As a Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, your primary responsibility will be accurately inputting daily progress notes into our healthcare database systems. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of patient records and ensuring that healthcare providers have access to complete and accurate documentation for delivering quality care.
Key Responsibilities
As an essential member of our documentation team, you will be responsible for the following:
Accurate Data Entry:
Enter data from paper copies and handwritten progress notes into designated databases and electronic health record systems with precision and attention to detail.
Data Quality Assurance:
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all entered data by performing thorough reviews and cross-referencing source documents.
Confidentiality & Security:
Uphold the strictest standards of confidentiality and security when handling sensitive patient information, adhering to all HIPAA regulations and company security protocols.
Document Processing:
Receive and process progress notes delivered to your home workspace at least three times per workday, completing all entries within a three-day turnaround timeframe.
Administrative Support:
Undertake additional administrative duties as assigned, including file organization, document indexing, and basic quality checks.
Database Management:
Navigate and utilize various databases and data entry systems efficiently, maintaining proficiency in evolving technology platforms.
Communication:
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to clarify documentation requirements and ensure seamless workflow integration.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
Typing Proficiency:
Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute with high accuracy.
Software Proficiency:
Demonstrated proficiency in relevant software applications, including Microsoft Excel and other standard office productivity tools.
Healthcare Knowledge:
A good understanding of healthcare acronyms and terminology related to speech therapy and rehabilitation services.
Attention to Detail:
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and errors in documentation.
Organizational Skills:
Strong organizational abilities, including effective task prioritization and time management to meet deadlines.
