Comedy Content Writer (Short-Form Video Series)

Job Description: We are looking for a Comedy Content Writer to help develop scripts, jokes, and recurring storylines for a high-volume, short-form video series. This role is focused on creating funny, character-driven content built around real environments and unscripted moments. You will work closely with our team to turn everyday situations into engaging, comedic narratives that can be executed quickly and consistently. Key Responsibilities: Content Development: • Write scripts and outlines for short-form comedic videos • Develop joke structures that work within real-life scenarios • Create punchlines, setups, and running gags Recurring Comedy & Storylines: • Develop ongoing jokes and themes that can carry across multiple videos • Create repeatable characters, dynamics, and comedic formats • Identify opportunities to revisit and build on past content Creative Collaboration: • Work with producers and on-site team to shape ideas into executable content • Adapt concepts based on what is working and what is not • Contribute ideas regularly and iterate quickly Tone & Style: • Balance humor with authenticity—content should feel natural, not over-written • Write comedy that works visually, not just on paper • Keep content accessible to a broad audience (not niche or overly inside) What We’re Looking For: • Strong comedic writing ability with a focus on short-form or visual content • Ability to write jokes that feel natural within real-world situations • Experience with social media content, digital video, or sketch writing preferred • Understanding of pacing, timing, and what makes content “watchable” • Ability to generate ideas consistently and quickly • Open to feedback and able to adjust tone and direction Big Plus If You: • Have experience writing for TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube content • Understand recurring formats and viral-style storytelling • Have written character-based or situational comedy • Can think in terms of “series,” not just one-off jokes Pay: $50.00 per hour Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
