• Structure:
Open to
contract, contract-to-hire, or direct hire
• Preference for contract given immediate need, but open to strong candidates seeking full-time roles
• Work Environment:
Hybrid (2 days/week in office)
• Strong preference for candidates in
LA, SF, NYC, or Chicago
• Open to remote for highly aligned candidates, but must be near a major airport and willing to travel
• Travel:
~10–25% depending on client needs
• Duration (if contract):
6+ months, with potential for full-time conversion
What You’ll Do
• Lead cybersecurity workstreams across
M&A transactions
, including carveouts, integrations, and Day 1 readiness
• Assess and design
cybersecurity programs
across people, process, and technology
• Develop and execute
roadmaps
for standing up or transforming security capabilities
• Guide clients through
security architecture, GRC, controls implementation, and tooling decisions
• Facilitate workshops, gather requirements, and translate findings into
clear, actionable plans
• Interface directly with
executive stakeholders
, including private equity leadership
• Lead and mentor consultants, while driving
delivery quality and client outcomes
What We’re Looking For (Must-Haves)
• 8–12+ years of experience
in cybersecurity, with a strong consulting background preferred
• Proven experience supporting
M&A, carveouts, or post-close integration efforts
• Experience leading
end-to-end cybersecurity initiatives
(assessment → roadmap → implementation)
• Broad knowledge across key domains:
• Security architecture
• GRC / risk & compliance
• Cloud and application security
• Identity, data protection, and incident response
• Experience performing
risk & controls assessments (NIST, ISO, etc.)
• Ability to confidently engage and present to
senior and executive stakeholders
Nice to Have
• Experience working with
private equity clients or portfolio companies
• Familiarity with
cost modeling, operating model design, or vendor/tool selection
• Experience leading
teams or workstreams in a consulting environment
