Position Overview

As a Remote Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in delivering an amazing customer experience. You'll be the friendly voice and helpful resource that consumers trust when navigating the often-confusing world of health insurance enrollment. Your ability to listen actively, communicate clearly, and solve problems creatively will help unveil the mystery of finding and enrolling in health insurance for countless individuals and families.

This is a full-time, seasonal temp-to-permanent position that offers the convenience of working from home while being part of a supportive, team-oriented organization. Key Responsibilities

As a valued member of the arenaflex customer service team, you will be responsible for:

  • Inbound and Outbound Calls: Handle a high volume of customer inquiries via telephone, ensuring each interaction is professional, empathetic, and resolution-focused.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Deliver the highest level of customer service experience consistently, exceeding expectations with every interaction.
  • Account Management: Manage customer accounts with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring all information is properly documented and updated in our systems.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to customers experiencing issues with our online platforms, guiding them through troubleshooting steps with patience and expertise.
  • Application Data Entry: Accurately enter and verify customer application data, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality guidelines.
  • Online Chat Support: Respond to online chat inquiries as assigned, providing timely and helpful assistance to customers who prefer digital communication channels.
  • Procedure Adherence: Interpret and follow defined procedures and policies meticulously, maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Apply creative problem-solving skills to address unique customer challenges, finding innovative solutions that meet customer needs while adhering to guidelines.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to regulated guidelines for communications via all channels, ensuring privacy, security, and regulatory requirements are always met.

Essential Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a minimum internet speed of 35 mb/s (cable/fiber broadband required)
  • Have a dedicated, private, and secure workspace free from distractions and background noise
  • Own a personal laptop or desktop computer required for the training period
  • Commit to full attendance during the 3-week training period
  • Successfully complete a background check and health screening
  • Have cable/fiber broadband internet with a hard-wired ethernet connection (not Wi-Fi)
  • Important: Mobile internet service providers and satellite internet are NOT compatible with our internal systems (for example, T-Mobile is not compatible)

Note: An ethernet connection is not the same as Wi-Fi internet access or Wi-Fi adapters/extenders. A stable, wired connection is essential for accessing our systems and ensuring optimal performance in this role.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Moderate to advanced computer skills with proficiency in standard software applications
  • A high level of comfort learning new technology and adapting to new systems quickly
  • A high level of professionalism in all interactions, representing arenaflex with integrity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly
  • The ability to work comfortably from home in a remote environment
  • Self-motivated mindset with a success-driven attitude and a passion for helping others
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

Preferred Experience

While not required, the following experience is highly valued and may enhance your success in this role:

  • Previous experience in customer support or technical support roles
  • Previous experience with group and/or individual health insurance, or the Affordable Care Act (ACA)
  • Previous experience in a call center environment
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and best practices
  • Spanish bilingual skills (a significant plus)
