About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technology Data Analyst I to join our Technology Planning and Analysis team within Business Operations. In this role, you'll work with your partners to develop scalable assessment strategies that will be used to analyze collections of work being added to the roadmap. This includes investigations related to cost modeling, sequencing and dependency planning, prioritization, and taxonomy buildout.

You are analytical, resourceful, and intellectually curious. You navigate through ambiguity and are a problem solver. The ideal candidate makes data-driven decisions, focuses on the customer, and can build trust with all areas of the business.

What You Will Do

As a Technology Data Analyst I at aren'ted, your responsibilities will include:

  • Organize multiple sources of data to build multivariate frameworks that help analyze and drive decisions for the organization at-large
  • Create and deploy tools and dashboards for end users that power data-driven decisions
  • Build strategic decision-making frameworks and write scripts that help us automate and scale
  • Work with partners to establish and identify goals; define measurable objectives and key results and relevant metrics for the business; then ensure we measure them!
  • Be a passionate steward for our technology roadmap—and communicate our status and plans to partners, as appropriate
  • Achieve organizational goals, driving through challenges, handling multiple priorities, and ensuring your partners are aligned
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on technology investments, ROI, and performance metrics
  • Support strategic planning initiatives with data-driven insights and recommendations

Required Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience
  • Analytical Expertise: Knowledge of informatics, data analysis, and management consulting (specifically in a quantitative or data-heavy role)
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience working with data and data manipulation software such as R, SQL, and Python
  • Dashboarding Skills: Experience building dashboards using tools like Tableau, Looker, or similar business intelligence platforms
  • Database Skills: Proficiency in writing database queries and scripts
  • Technology Understanding: Demonstrated understanding of different types of existing and emerging technologies and their ecosystems
  • Collaboration Skills: Experience working with engineering and operational teams to develop and launch products
  • Communication Skills: Ability to translate requirements to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Self-Motivation: Strong strategic capability, consistent judgment and delivery, and excellent direction
  • Customer Focus: Focus on making our end-users happy and strong opinions about great customer experience
  • Problem-Solving: Creative and clever, with no fear of diving into the details and a drive to be the first to tackle any challenge

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following would be advantageous:

  • Experience in Technology, Media, Telecommunications ("TMT")—product management, or consulting
  • Understanding of the online video ecosystem, advertising, and/or media technology landscape
  • Previous experience in the streaming or digital media industry
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management frameworks
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes:

  • Annual Salary: The hiring range for this position in California is $77,300 to $103,600 per year, and in New York is $81,000 to $108,500 per year, based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled each week may change based on business needs.

Note: The base salary actually offered will consider internal equity and may also vary depending on the applicant's geographic location, work-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
