About the Role

As a Senior Software Developer at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in driving our supply chain transformation and enterprise system excellence. This position is responsible for building, improving, and supporting organization-scale solutions that span across various business capabilities, including supply chain planning (delivery, demand, and replenishment) and product information management.

You will collaboratively identify, design, develop, and implement technology and process solutions that establish key business capabilities and platform features. This role requires deep technical expertise, domain knowledge, platform intensity, and strong leadership capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that enable strategic initiatives and operational upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Development: Leverage established design patterns and standards to develop scalable solutions for complex business challenges. Participate in solution architecture, design reviews, and middle platform development initiatives.
• Requirements & Design: Take part in requirements gathering and functional specification activities. Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate their needs into technical solutions that drive value.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure software development standards are met by actively participating in engineering reviews with the team. Conduct code reviews, maintain coding best practices, and uphold quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and establish exceptional practices to shape our engineering culture. Share knowledge, provide guidance, and help team members grow in their technical careers.
• Innovation: Collaborate with team members to recommend new software development technologies and improvement techniques. Stay current with industry trends and bring innovative ideas to the table.
• Problem Resolution: Conduct root cause analysis on production issues, resolve them effectively, and mitigate their impact on business operations. Ensure system reliability and performance.
• On-Call Support: Fulfill responsibilities for on-call support, including capacity insurance of pager rotation. Be prepared to address critical issues outside of standard business hours when needed.
• Documentation: Contribute to the improvement of teams' knowledge bases for current and ongoing work. Maintain comprehensive documentation of solutions, processes, and best practices.
• Project Delivery: Contribute to large-scale projects and programs using both Waterfall and Agile software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies. Adapt to different project frameworks based on business needs.

Essential Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years of application development experience, exposed to all levels of development from design through production support. A proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
• Enterprise Systems: 3+ years of experience working with Oracle EBS modules, including Master Data Management and Planning Suite of applications. Exposure to Oracle EBS Applications Version 12.2+ is a must-have requirement.
• Technical Skills: Strong experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Applications Framework (OAF), Oracle Forms (10g), Oracle Reports, UNIX Shell Scripting, Workflow, and XML Publisher. These are core competencies required for success in this role.
• Planning Solutions: Exposure to various demand, supply, and replenishment planning solutions like O9, Logility, and Oracle VCP is strongly preferred but not required. Familiarity with supply chain planning concepts is a significant advantage.
• Programming Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in modern programming languages including Java and Python, with a mastery of object-oriented design and programming principles.
• API Development: Development, troubleshooting, and debugging experience with REST APIs. Ability to design and implement robust API integrations.
• Big Data Technologies: Any operating experience in integration technologies like Apache NiFi, Hadoop, and PySpark would be a significant plus. Understanding of data pipeline architecture is beneficial.
• Data Engineering: Data pipelines development using Spark, ADF, and other modern data processing tools. Experience with ETL processes and data warehouse solutions.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform). Understanding of cloud-native architectures and deployment models.
• Distributed Computing: Working knowledge of distributed information technologies such as Hadoop, MapReduce, and Spark. Familiarity with big data processing paradigms.
• Reporting: Exposure to reporting solutions like Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools would be nice to have. Ability to create meaningful visualizations and dashboards.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other technical area preferred, or equivalent experience in software development.
• DevOps Practices: Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices. Understanding of automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts

• Experience in the retail, food & beverage, or consumer goods industry
