Position Overview: Test Development Engineer

Arenaflex is seeking a talented and motivated professional to join our Specialized Infrastructure team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for providing ongoing software development support to lead cybersecurity activities with external manufacturing partners and internal test development teams.

Key Responsibilities

As a Test Development Engineer at arenaflex, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are critical to the success of our products and the security of our systems. Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Security Hardening Process Design: Plan and define the security hardening process for contract manufacturers in North America. You will develop comprehensive guidelines and procedures to ensure that all manufactured products meet arenaflex's stringent security standards. This involves collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners to establish best practices and ensure consistent implementation across all manufacturing facilities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal and partner developers and managers to drive test and security improvements. You will serve as a technical bridge between arenaflex's internal teams and external manufacturing partners, ensuring that security requirements are clearly communicated and effectively implemented. This requires strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical requirements into actionable guidance.
• Security Issue Investigation: Lead investigations into security issues discovered during testing or reported by partners. You will conduct thorough analyses to identify the root cause of security vulnerabilities and work with teams to develop effective solutions. This involves collaborating with cybersecurity experts, software developers, and quality assurance teams to address issues comprehensively.
• System Administration and Maintenance: Manage operating system upgrades and provide support for recurring hardening updates, network security, remote access, and system administration of test stations. You will ensure that all test environments are properly configured, secure, and maintained to support ongoing development and testing activities.
• Python Test Script Development: Develop and maintain Python test scripts based on test specifications. You will create automated testing solutions that effectively validate product functionality and security. This includes designing test frameworks, writing test cases, and implementing automated testing pipelines to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Root Cause Analysis: Perform comprehensive root cause analysis of system test failures and implement corrective or preventive actions. You will investigate failures, identify underlying issues, and work with teams to implement solutions that prevent recurrence. This requires strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Manufacturing Support: Work with contract manufacturers (ODM, OEM, JDM) to ensure that products are manufactured to arenaflex's quality and security standards. You will provide technical guidance, conduct audits, and support issues resolution throughout the manufacturing process.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered for candidates with demonstrated technical expertise.
• Technical Experience: Hands-on experience working with security policies, processes, servers, or network equipment. You should have a solid understanding of security principles and how they apply to hardware and software systems.
