About the IT Enterprise Technology Team

The IT Enterprise Technology division at arenaflex is the heart of our digital transformation efforts. This team is accountable for Enterprise Technology Services that include Enterprise Architecture, Core Technologies, and fostering a culture of agility across the organization. We lead initiatives in Agile methodologies, API development, DevOps practices, and enable integrated product teams with Quality Engineering and Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) capabilities.

What You'll Do – Key Responsibilities

As an IT Summer Intern at arenaflex, you will have the opportunity to work on real projects that directly contribute to our business objectives. Your responsibilities may include:

• Software Development: Participate in the development, maintenance, enhancement, and support of software applications and infrastructure environments. Work with various programming languages and frameworks including Java/JEE, JSON, Spring, Angular, JavaScript, C++ on Linux, Python, REST, XML, and web services.
• Business Analysis: Gather requirements for development initiatives and contribute to the design and testing of decision support systems. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis techniques to create performance dashboards and service level agreements. Extract meaningful insights from large datasets to support data-driven decision making across the organization.
• Technical Support: Provide technical assistance for IT projects and initiatives. Troubleshoot issues and contribute to solutions that improve system performance and reliability.
• Agile Collaboration: Work within Agile/DevOps delivery frameworks, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Contribute to the continuous improvement of team processes.
• API and Integration Development: Assist in the design and implementation of APIs and integration solutions that enable seamless communication between systems.
• Mobile and Web Application Development: Gain exposure to emerging mobile technologies and enterprise web application development.

Interns may be assigned to projects in Atlanta, GA or Minneapolis St. Paul, MN, with the possibility of supporting various IT initiatives in roles such as Business Expert, Developer, Systems Engineer, or Data Analyst.

What You Need to Succeed – Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this internship opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Educational Status: Must have completed at least 3 years of a college program with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Degree emphasis should be in Computer Science, Software Development, Systems/Industrial/Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analysis/Operations Research, Business Management, or a related field.
• Work Location: Must be willing to work from our Atlanta or Minneapolis-St. Paul office location (as determined during the interview process). Most teams operate on a hybrid schedule with management approval for remote work arrangements.
• Communication Skills: Strong analytical, leadership, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Work Ethic: Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in solving complex problems.
• Professional Conduct: Must be able to act maturely and be comfortable working in a business-casual work attire environment.
• Technical Awareness: Have awareness of cloud technology, Software Development Lifecycles, and/or computer hardware components or support.
