The Role: Senior European Financial Manager & Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Financial Manager & Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team, supporting our Lead Marketing and Operations functions. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with both US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) as well as accounting and reporting standards for our European operations. You will work as an integral part of a dedicated billing team, collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure accuracy and timeliness in all financial deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Financial Manager & Accountant at arenaflex, you will take ownership of critical financial processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of our accounting operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Process Enhancement: Lead initiatives to increase efficiency in financial processes, including internal identity management and external end-to-end流程优化 (process optimization), ensuring seamless operations across all finance functions.
  • Financial & Management Reporting: Promote and maintain robust financial and management processes that provide stakeholders with actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Monthly Close & Reconciliation: Prepare comprehensive monthly closings for financing and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Financial Oversight: Provide funding for regulations and other costs, managing exams and losses while ensuring full compliance with international financial requirements.
  • Analytical Insights & Process Improvement: Bring analytical focus to the current process and advance constant improvement, identifying opportunities for automation, cost reduction, and efficiency gains.
  • Workplace Excellence: Lead initiatives that contribute to improving the workplace environment, fostering collaboration, and enhancing team productivity.
  • Strategic Planning Participation: Participate in local, regional, and international planning initiatives as needed, contributing financial expertise to organizational strategy.
  • Change Management: Lead others through controlled change in ways that protect arenaflex's interests while driving meaningful transformation across the organization.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential Qualifications:

  • International Finance Expertise: In-depth knowledge of international finances and familiarity with the requirements of PCGRs (Principles of Generally Recognized Accounting) and international accounting standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial management controls, including SOX 404 compliance requirements and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate, influence, and work effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Communication Proficiency: Excellent information and communication skills in English—able to write clearly, speak professionally, and present complex financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Time Management: Capable of working effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality in deliverables.
  • Dynamic Environment Adaptability: Evidence of thriving in fast-paced, rapidly evolving environments where priorities may shift quickly.
  • Information Management: Strong ability to maintain control over and analyze large volumes of financial data with precision and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in e-commerce or retail industries with complex multi-entity structures
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and ERP platforms
  • Knowledge of multiple European tax jurisdictions
  • Experience with financial transformation projects
  • Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
