Key Responsibilities

• Optimizing Processes for Continuous Improvement: Lead and mentor others in the execution of innovative ideas and improvements to refine existing systems, internal controls, and workflows. Focus on enhancing month-end and quarter-end financial close processes and reporting accuracy.
• Building and Developing High-Performing Teams: Coach and motivate team members to meet business objectives, encourage creative problem-solving, and promote continuous improvement. Attract, retain, and develop high-performing talent to meet the demands of a growing business. Provide ongoing constructive feedback and development opportunities.
• Supporting Business Initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute accounting solutions for new business activities. Work closely with operations and business teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance for strategic initiatives.
• Ensuring Financial Accuracy: Assist in ensuring a timely and accurate month-end and quarter-end close. Review financial data, analyze variances, and provide insightful recommendations to senior leadership.
• Driving Strategic Impact: Act as a trusted advisor to finance and business leaders, communicating complex accounting concepts in understandable terms. Represent the accounting function in strategic planning sessions and contribute to overall business growth.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess a combination of education, experience, and skills that demonstrate your ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have:

• Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. An advanced degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is highly preferred and will be considered a strong advantage.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in accounting roles, specifically in leading accounting projects for a large, global, publicly traded organization. Experience working cross-functionally with operations and business teams to implement accounting solutions for new business activities is essential.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with accounting software and financial systems. Specific experience with Blackline modules, including reconciliations, matching, and journals modules, is highly preferred.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey accounting results and complex topics to finance and business leaders at all levels of the organization. Experience communicating in various organizational settings is required.
• Leadership Capabilities: A proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams. Strong coaching and mentoring abilities, with a focus on driving performance and fostering professional growth.
