As a Senior Financial Accounting Analyst, you'll be an essential part of our Controllership group, working directly with our Corporate Accounting leadership to ensure precision in our financial reporting, intercompany transactions, and related party exchanges. What You'll Do
As a Senior Financial Accounting Analyst at arenaflex, you will report to the Manager of Corporate Accounting and will have significant visibility into our financial reporting processes. Your expertise will be crucial in managing the intricate intercompany processes that keep our global operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- General Ledger Mastery: Take ownership of general ledger accounts and lead the month-end close process for corporate accounting functions. This includes preparing and reviewing journal entries for intercompany eliminations, intercompany allocations, and related party transactions with meticulous attention to detail.
- Reconciliation Excellence: Design and execute monthly and quarterly reconciliation processes for key accounts. Perform comprehensive variance analysis to identify discrepancies and drive resolution through thorough investigation and corrective action.
- Intercompany Coordination: Monitor intercompany accounts systematically, address any out-of-balance issues promptly, and collaborate on intercompany payment processing to ensure all accounts remain current and accurate throughout the fiscal year.
- Related Party Transaction Oversight: Track all related party transactions throughout the financial year and conduct valuation analyses to determine whether these transactions are conducted at arm's length, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Content Finance, Legal teams, and other stakeholders within the Controllership organization to obtain necessary supporting documentation and ensure comprehensive financial oversight.
- Financial Statement Support: Assist in the preparation of financial statements by creating detailed financial schedules and references that provide transparency into our financial performance.
- Technical Accounting Research: Research complex accounting questions and prepare technical accounting memoranda to document changes in accounting treatment, ensuring compliance with evolving accounting standards.
- Audit Coordination: Support internal and external audit processes by responding to audit requests, preparing status updates, and participating in audit planning meetings to facilitate smooth examination of financial records.

Essential Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with progressive responsibility in financial reporting and analysis.
- Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) with the ability to apply accounting standards to complex transactions.
- Technology Proficiency: Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft business suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas are essential.
- Organizational Excellence: Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization, from entry-level team members to senior leadership.
- Team Orientation: Collaborative mindset with a positive attitude and the willingness to support colleagues across departments to achieve common goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in the entertainment, media, and/or technology industry, preferably in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- ERP Systems: Experience working with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems for financial transaction processing and reporting. Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license or active pursuit of CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Diverse Background: A combination of public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and private industry experience, demonstrating versatility in different accounting environments.
