Looking for Public Health consultant / Epidemiologist - Providence RI 02908 - Remote - Jconnect Infotech - Providence, RI - work from home job Company: Jconnect Infotech Job description: Job Title: Public Health consultant/Epidemiologist Location: Providence, RI 02908 (Remote) Duration: 9+ months of contract Shift Timings: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM Rate: $65/hr - $72/hr Summary: • We are looking for an Epidemiologist Team Lead to support the response, recovery, and mitigation activities in settings across the state. • This position is part of a team that works on all areas of the surveillance, prevention, and policy development. • The selected candidate will work closely with the COVID-19 Quant Team's Chief Data Officer, Senior Epi, Team Manager, Epidemiologists, and collaborators on the data lake (IDL) team and data visualization team. • This position will provide ongoing support for the state's COVID-19 Unit to facilitate the development of guidance for COVID-19 prevention. Responsibilities • Manage the day to-day responsibilities of team members, including reviewing and compiling data reports to fulfill inquiries from the government, public, and media requests. • Serves as a backup for Epis when they take time off and/or have too much work. • Analyze existing data and reports to assess trends in disease rates and health outcomes. • Becomes a SME for the Team workstreams which includes mastering an understanding of the data, understanding the routine work, and supporting Epis in completing their routine reporting duties. Requirements: • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.
