Remote Civil Litigation Attorney – Labor & Employment (1–3 Years Experience) Location: Fully Remote (San Francisco, CA Area) Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 annually, based on experience Schedule: Monday – Friday | PST Business Hours About the Role A growing California law firm is seeking a California-licensed Civil Litigation Attorney with 1–3 years of experience to join their team. This fully remote role focuses on supporting employment law matters in California state court, making it an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney looking to deepen their litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on civil litigation experience, particularly with California civil discovery, motion drafting, and legal research. While prior experience in labor and employment law is preferred, the firm is open to strong civil litigators who are interested in building their experience in employment-related cases. In this role, you will work closely with senior attorneys on matters involving wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, discrimination, retaliation, and other workplace-related claims, while gaining meaningful exposure to employment litigation. The firm is actively hiring and looking to bring someone on within the next two to three weeks. Key Responsibilities • Draft and respond to California civil discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission • Prepare motions, pleadings, and legal briefs related to civil and employment litigation • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy • Assist with case management, including tracking litigation deadlines and court timelines • Review case files and documentation to support litigation preparation • Collaborate with senior attorneys to move cases through the litigation process Required Qualifications • Active California Bar license (required) • 1–3 years of civil litigation experience • Experience drafting California civil discovery and motion practice • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills • Familiarity with California state court procedures and deadlines • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment Preferred Experience • Exposure to California employment law matters, including: • Wrongful termination • Wage & hour disputes • Discrimination or harassment claims • Retaliation claims • Familiarity with FEHA and California Labor Code claims • Experience managing multiple litigation matters simultaneously If you are a California-licensed attorney with civil litigation experience and an interest in employment law, we encourage you to apply.
