Medical Illustrator / Animator (Medical Animation Specialist)
Location: Remote - East Coast (EST)

U.S. Legal Support is seeking a Medical Illustrator / Animator to create medical illustrations and animations related to human anatomy, physiology, and surgical procedures for legal trial support. This role requires a high level of expertise in animation and medical anatomy, as well as the ability to translate complex medical concepts into clear and visually compelling graphics.
The ideal candidate is highly creative, organized, and able to work independently while collaborating with internal teams to meet project deadlines.
Candidates must provide a portfolio link featuring recent and relevant work to be considered for this position.
Essential Job Functions
• Review surgical procedures and prepare rough sketches showing relevant parts of the body for trial presentations
• Determine and select the most effective mode of visual presentation for legal trial needs
• Develop detailed illustrations and animations of surgical techniques based on subject matter knowledge
• Translate complex medical concepts into accurate visual representations
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure graphics support case strategies
• Assist with various areas of Trial Exhibits Services as needed
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership
Requirements
• Advanced to expert proficiency in Cinema4D, After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite, and Photoshop
• Bachelor’s Degree – Medical Illustration, Biomedical Art, Scientific Illustration, or related art/science field
• Strong skills in modeling, texturing, animation, lighting, and compositing
• Ability to independently research medical concepts and procedures
• Strong creativity, attention to detail, and aesthetic judgment
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Open to feedback and able to incorporate constructive criticism
• Comfortable working in a PC-based environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends when needed
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted as required
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Educational background or familiarity with human anatomy from a medical perspective
• Experience interpreting MRI, CT, and X-ray images and translating them into 3D graphics
• Coursework or experience in Medical Human Anatomy
• Coursework or experience in Medical / Legal Graphics
