Contract Licensed Social Worker BA for Systems Navigation Support
Seeking private practice licensed social workers who are capable of supporting people with disabilities as they navigate systems for housing, income and similar. Currently we are working with several people with disabilities as contractors on a large project with that state of Minnesota to improve the lives of people with disabilities. The system makes it very difficult for our colleagues to work and maintain benefits, often with significant penalties. We have had several colleagues who have had to terminate their engagement in the project because their benefits have been threatened by the very system they are working to improve. Our team has limited experience navigating many of these systems, and each county is different.
This position is "as needed" and could be a great side gig for someone familiar with various county systems. The counties we need the most assistance with are: Ramsey, Hennepin, Stearns and St. Louis. Mostly remote; there may be a few instances where it may be better to be in-person depending on circumstances. Travel time included and mileage reimbursed.
