**Experienced Technical Data Entry Specialist – Engineering and Completions Support**

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and technically skilled Technical Data Entry Specialist to join our team, supporting our engineering and completions teams by managing and inputting critical technical data into spreadsheets and smart completions systems.
**Job Summary:**
As a Technical Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and traceability of technical data across all project documentation and databases. You will work closely with our engineering, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to resolve data gaps or inconsistencies, and support the creation and maintenance of reports and dashboards using Excel or Power BI. If you have a strong background in instrumentation, electrical, or mechanical technology, and are proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience in smart completions systems, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Accurately enter and validate data for equipment (e.g., valves, transmitters, motors, panels, etc.) into smart completions systems (e.g., Hexagon SmartPlant, Aveva, or similar), ensuring data integrity and compliance with project standards.
* Manage and update complex Excel spreadsheets with equipment characteristics, tags, make, model, serial numbers, and specifications, applying correct tagging conventions and ensuring traceability across systems.
* Review and interpret engineering datasheets, P&IDs, and loop drawings to extract and verify technical information, applying your knowledge of industry standards for instrumentation and electrical equipment (ISA, IEC, NEC, etc.).
* Perform regular audits to identify data discrepancies and ensure integrity and compliance with project standards, collaborating with engineering, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to resolve data gaps or inconsistencies.
* Support the creation and maintenance of reports and dashboards using Excel or Power BI, leveraging your skills in data analysis and visualization.
* Assist with data imports, cleanups, and transitions between systems as required, ensuring seamless data management and minimizing downtime.
**Required Qualifications & Experience:**
* Diploma or certification in Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical Technology, or related field.
* 2+ years of experience in a technical or industrial data entry role, preferably in oil & gas, utilities, or large capital projects.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, data validation, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.
* Experience with Smart Completions Systems (SmartPlant, Aveva, or equivalent).
* Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as datasheets, P&IDs, single-line diagrams, and I/O lists.
* High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
* Eligible to work in the US.
**Nice to Have (Assets):**
* Familiarity with systems like SAP PM, Maximo, or CMMS tools.
* Experience with Excel VBA, Power Query, or Power BI.
* Understanding of industry standards for instrumentation and electrical equipment (ISA, IEC, NEC, etc.).
* Prior work on commissioning or turnarounds in industrial settings.
