Role Description The Principal Consultant will coach and mentor consultants on the Higher Education team, engage directly in client billable work, and play a solution engineer role for Higher Education opportunities. Successful candidates in this role will have experience working in the field of Higher Education and as a Salesforce experience, have an aptitude for mentoring and training, and be skilled at selling a Salesforce platform solution by engaging in sales discovery, demos, solution visioning and speaking the language of higher education. • Radical Ownership: Take full responsibility for the customer’s success, looking ahead to identify potential problems, challenges, or opportunities. • Proactive and Intentional Communication: Provide constant, high-quality communication and updates to customers. • Advising with Authority: Offer clear, confident, and actionable recommendations based on deep knowledge of the customer’s problem. • Value-Driven Excellence: Focus on quality and impact of work to ensure deliverables translate into true value. Accountabilities • Project Delivery: Responsible for engagement delivery standards aligned with Redpath Core Processes. • Mentoring and Training: Provide Higher Education industry and applicable product/solution mentorship and coaching to Redpath team members. • Sales and GTM Support: Collaborate with the sales team to highlight Redpath’s value proposition and provide sales solution engineering support. • Billable Utilization: Maintain minimum level of billable utilization as determined by Redpath leadership. Qualifications • 5+ years experience working directly in Higher Education, specifically in Corp Relations, Tech Transfer, and/or Research Administration. • 4+ years experience delivering Salesforce solutions in an agile environment. • 2+ years experience in sales pre-sales support or sales engineering. • Salesforce Consulting experience. • Experience with Salesforce Education Cloud and EDA (Education Data Architecture). • Solid understanding of Salesforce.com platform and cloud architecture. • Salesforce Certified Administrator. • Education Cloud Salesforce Consultant certification or ability to gain within 90 days. Requirements • BA/BS or equivalent experience (preferred). • 4+ years Salesforce consulting experience (preferred). • Experience in Higher Education Advancement and/or Student Services (preferred). • System integration experience (design or development) (preferred). • Higher Education ERP/SIS familiarity (Banner, PeopleSoft, etc.) (preferred). • Experience working with third party delivery and product partners (preferred). • Experience with business process documentation (preferred). • Google G-Suite experience (preferred).
