Legal Editor – Practice Area Content
Job Description:
• curate, enhance, and expand authoritative US legal analysis by partnering with expert authors and leveraging AI‑enabled editorial tools
• combine sharp legal insight with strong project and relationship management skills
• maintain productive long‑term relationships with authors
• track legislative, regulatory, and case‑law developments
• manage portfolio delivery plans
• provide substantive and structural updates and/or edits
• partner with Product Managers/Content Strategy/Segment
• support Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success with subject‑matter expertise
• leverage generative and agentic AI, automation, and data to support streamlining of content development and editorial processes
Requirements:
• J.D. required
• 1–5 years of legal practice or comparable legal publishing experience
• familiarity with federal law is required
• demonstrated ability to scope requirements for new legal content
• edit complex legal analysis for clarity, consistency, and voice
• comfortable using LLMs for legal research
• skilled at crafting prompts, evaluating outputs, and iterating for optimal results
• ability to interpret market signals, customer feedback, and data to inform content initiatives and drive sustainable growth
• clear, positive communicator who thrives on collaborating with stakeholders and partners; delivers on commitments, pivots quickly as needed and views setbacks as learning opportunities
