About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst - IT to join our Digital Technology team. As a data-driven leader, you will have a passion for data, analysis, and program execution, with the ability to dive into details and evaluate the big picture. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across Digital Channels, Personalization, and Loyalty technology teams, with a deep understanding of the business. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing data analysis workflows, identifying areas for process improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Figures out the digital performance of applications/frameworks affecting business functionality
  • Comprehends the right questions to be posed to on the platform data attached to Digital Channels
  • Creates streamlined and comprehensive data analysis work streams
  • Areas of focus will include, but are not limited to:
    • Data Visualizations
    • Application performance analysis
    • Error patterns, top factors contributing to errors
    • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: recommendations for performance and greater agility
  • Modeling and coding of data
  • With space expertise, builds trusted data products including dashboards and reporting products to support Digital Channels, Personalization, and Loyalty leadership that helps them make data-driven decisions on application performance
  • Collaborates with US and India Data Center teams to develop dashboards
  • Tracks new platform updates and application releases and cycles and learns the current application/frameworks to navigate system performance, dive into errors, response time, service logs, define new data collection and labeling, create universal dashboards
  • Communicates and presents updates to leadership, along with assembling standard presentations

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree ideally in Engineering, Data Science (Math, Statistics, or Economics)
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, analysis, and data engineering, with 3+ of those years in a Fortune 500 company
  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce platform development
  • Experience building presentations for stakeholders and leaders and engaging with all levels of management
  • Proven ability to create a vision, inspire the team towards that vision, and offer support to achieve it
  • Extensive experience with BI run boarding (e.g., PowerBI, Tibco Spotfire, etc.) to create meaningful, rich dashboards
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience analyzing e-commerce platforms for Web, Mobile Application, Loyalty, and demonstrated expertise in handling large datasets and social databases (SQL and Non-SQL)
  • Ability to study/understand business needs, design data/technology metrics that connect business processes with quantifiable platform results, Grasp key metric/Objective Settings
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Solid problem-solving skills, using data to address issues
  • Remarkable writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of an interview is required to meet job eligibility
  • Reliable, consistent attendance is a fundamental requirement of the position

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Graduate degree ideally in Computer Science, Aviation Management, or Operations Research
  • Computer Science, Information Systems, Aviation Management, or related degree, Operations Research, MBA
  • Google Data Analysis Professional Certification, Power BI Data Analyst Associate, AWS Certified Data Analysis, Enterprise Data Warehouse certifications, Palantir, Client-Side performance metrics tools e.g. Quantum Metrics
  • 4+ years in a lead role
  • Experience with Data Dog /App D/Kibana is a significant upside
  • Experience with Enterprise monitoring systems is a plus
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • Past airline or travel industry experience is a plus
  • Experience with AWS - Redshift, QuickSight, Athena
  • Experience with BigQuery
  • Continuous integration and delivery using Agile methodologies
  • Regression analysis on performance predictions, exp. in multiple regression techniques
