Duties & Responsibilities:
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer to design and deliver enterprise analytics solutions by partnering with Data Engineers to build scalable data models in Databricks SQL and create optimized external tables from the Gold layer for BI consumption. Develop and maintain analytical datasets that power enterprise reporting and self-service BI, while designing high-performance Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations. Enable business users with secure self-service data extracts by implementing robust row-level and column-level security. Ensure optimal report performance through strong data modeling practices, automate report scheduling and publishing, and continuously monitor and tune datasets and dataflows. Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and thoroughly document data models, metrics, and KPIs for organizational clarity and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Modeling & Architecture
• Partner with Data Engineers to design scalable data models in Databricks SQL for analytics consumption
• Create optimized external tables from the Gold layer to efficiently serve data to BI tools.
• Apply strong data modeling practices to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of datasets
Power BI Reporting, Performance & Security
• Design and develop high-performance Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for enterprise analytics.
• Implement row-level security (RLS) and column-level security (CLS) to enable secure, role-based data access.
• Monitor, tune, and automate Power BI datasets, dataflows, and report publishing for optimal performance.
Self-Service Analytics & Stakeholder Enablement
• Develop and maintain analytical datasets that support enterprise reporting and self-service BI.
• Enable business users to extract and analyze data through governed self-service data access.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and document data models, KPIs, and metrics for clarity and consistency.

Required Skills:
• Power BI (Dashboards, Reports, Dataflows).
• SQL Server and Databricks SQL for building analytical models and queries.
• Data Warehousing and ETL pipelines.
• DAX and Power Query for advanced reporting.
• Row-level security (RLS), column-level security (CLS).
• Azure Data Factory and Databricks for orchestrating data pipelines.
• Report automation, data scheduling, and self-service BI.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 4–5 years experience
Substantial professional experience in a related field may be considered in lieu of formal degree.
Preferred Attributes:
Compensation Range: $90,000-$120,000
