**Responsibilities**
As a Customer Account Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
* Contacting customers to determine the reason for payment delinquency and negotiating payments.
* Handling accounts with speed and accuracy while maintaining professionalism.
* Confirming and/or negotiating payment arrangements, researching any discrepancies.
* Completing phone calls to meet required performance standards and metrics.
* Maintaining established objectives for delinquency, repossessions, and net losses; staying informed of changes in policies and procedures.
* Using computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and/or troubleshooting.
* Documenting all accounts accurately, clearly, and concisely noting the reason for delinquency.
* Responding with accurate information pertinent to the callers' questions using professionalism and integrity.
* Adhering to all state and federal laws in the handling of accounts.
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills.
* Attention to detail.
* Professional phone etiquette.
* Good follow-up skills.
* Persuasive negotiation skills.
* Microsoft Windows and Internet-based applications experience required.
* Basic typing/data entry skills.
* Ability to multi-task.
* Ability to work a five-day workweek, including some Saturdays.
**Education & Experience**
While a high school diploma or equivalent is required, we encourage candidates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or a related field to apply. Prior experience in financial services or a similar industry is preferred, but not necessary.
