Head of People & Organizational Development – Requirements &
Qualifications:
Multi-unit HR leadership experience in restaurants, hospitality, or similar high-volume environments
Experience building HR and people ops infrastructure: processes, policies, tech stack, and documentation
Ability to create and own a 1–3 year people and organizational development roadmap
Strong background in recruiting strategy for hourly, management, and corporate roles
Hands-on experience improving retention, bench strength, and leadership capability
Comfort supporting leaders across multiple states with diverse compliance requirements
Expertise in wage and hour, safety, labor law, immigration, and franchisor obligations
Data-driven decision-maker capable of building and tracking KPIs

Responsibilities:
Architect scalable people systems across two national brands in multiple regions
Develop and measure KPIs: retention, internal mobility, manager capability, time-to-hire, eNPS
Partner directly with founders and Operations to strengthen culture and organizational clarity
Build workforce planning models and predictable promotion pipelines
Create and implement onboarding, training, and leadership development frameworks
Design and execute engagement, recognition, and retention programs
Standardize HR workflows, documentation, and technology for scale
Provide coaching, guidance, and people-development support to operators across all markets
Head of People & Organizational Development – Preferred Background & Skills:
Background in multi-unit restaurant, bakery, or hospitality people leadership
Proven success reducing turnover and building strong promotion pipelines
Experience implementing HR tech, people analytics, and training programs
Strong communicator with high EQ and the ability to influence operators
