Business Development Representative – Solar (Work From Home)

About the Role We’re hiring Business Development Representatives to speak with U.S. homeowners and educate them about rising electricity costs and available programs that can help them lower their monthly electric bill using solar energy. This is not a hard sales role. Your primary responsibility is to educate and qualify homeowners to see if they are a good fit for a solar energy savings program. About the Solar Program This is not traditional solar sales. • Homeowners do NOT buy panels • No cash purchase • No loan • No financing Instead, our company installs and owns the solar system, similar to how a utility company installs power lines and electrical infrastructure. The homeowner simply: • Uses the power produced by the panels • Pays a lower, protected electricity rate • Saves money compared to their current utility bill What You’ll Be Doing • Calling and speaking with homeowners (warm and outbound outreach) • Educating them on why electric bills are increasing • Explaining how the solar savings program works in simple terms • Qualifying homeowners based on basic criteria (homeownership, bill amount, etc.) • Setting appointments for the next step in the process Compensation • $20 per hour • Bonuses based on performance • Consistent schedule and steady work What We’re Looking For • Strong English communication skills • Comfortable speaking with homeowners over the phone • Reliable internet and quiet home workspace • Coachable attitude and willingness to learn • Sales, call center, or customer service experience is a plus (but not required) What We Offer • Fully remote work-from-home position • Paid training and scripts provided • Clear expectations and structured process • Long-term opportunity with room to grow Who This Role Is Great For • Appointment setters • Call center reps • Customer service professionals • Anyone comfortable speaking on the phone and explaining solutions clearly Job Type: Full-time Pay: $53,176.18 - $64,040.13 per year Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
