Responsibilities

• Actively represent clients in courtroom hearings
• Argue cases before the Rhode Island Workers' Compensation Court
• Drafting motions
• Reviewing medical records
• Analyzing employment documentation to build a sound case strategy
• Regularly update clients on case developments
• Offer strategic advice
• Ensure clients remain informed and confident in representation
• Consulting with colleagues on complex claims
• Discussing legal updates and procedural best practices
• Manage caseload independently
• Meet filing deadlines
• Participate in negotiations

Skills

• J.D. and Rhode Island bar admission (in good standing)
• 1-5 years' experience in workers' compensation
• Strong courtroom presence and ability to handle hearings independently
• Exceptional time-management abilities and a proven capacity to adjust seamlessly to changing priorities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Professional judgment and a commitment to high-quality client service
