Actuarial Analyst - Recent Graduate

Responsibilities
- Research actuarial issues, methods and solutions to support business strategy development
- Provide support to junior team members to aid in development of the team
- Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the delivery of actuarial programs
- Contribute to projects that enhance the teams actuarial capabilities and business outcomes
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and patterns within large data sets
Skills
- Nearing completion of your education in a relevant program such as actuarial sciences, math, finance, economics or statistics
- Advanced mathematical and programming skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proven research, analysis and decision-making skills
- Ability to develop innovative solutions
- Organizational skills with ability to manage competing priorities
- Knowledge of spreadsheet, database and word processing software
- Language proficiency in English is required for communicating with customers, advisors, or employees across Canada
- Completion of a minimum of two exams through the Society of Actuaries or Canadian Institute of Actuaries
- Commitment to attain Associate designation through the Society of Actuaries and/or Canadian Institute of Actuaries and continuing professional development to support career progression and role competency in sustaining the company's pool of actuarial resources
