Development Coordinator
The Elks National Foundation (ENF) is a charitable organization focused on community support and development. The Development Coordinator will assist in executing fundraising plans, managing volunteer resources, and supporting donor stewardship efforts.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary customer service contact for donors, volunteers, and prospects
- Greet and assist callers transferred from an automated phone system and respond to inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence
- Originate and manage all forms of professional communication and correspondence with donors and volunteers
- Provide day-to-day administrative and project support to the Manager of Development and Events
- Execute assigned development projects and manage routine administrative details for the department
- Support fundraising initiatives, campaigns, and program-related activities
- Serve as the point person for volunteer resources, including request fulfillment, promotion, and instructional support
- Collaborate with internal departments on giving opportunities for major donors, supporting donor stewardship and cultivation efforts
- Perform data entry, data extraction, and routine database maintenance to support daily, weekly, and monthly departmental tasks
- Assist with gathering, summarizing, and organizing data for reports and fundraising analysis
Skills
- One or more years of related administrative, development, fundraising, or customer service experience
- Strong attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofreading materials
- Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including spelling and grammar
- Strong phone presence and professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make decisions without direct supervision
- High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy when communicating across multiple generations and audiences
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, including the ability to identify problems and propose solutions
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong sense of responsibility, follow-through, and accountability
- A sense of humor and positive, service-oriented attitude
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) or similar donor databases is a plus
