Responsibilities
• Contribute to the cleanup of the U.S. Department of Energy's Hanford Site.
• Review permitting and decision documents related to hazardous waste management.
• Collaborate with diverse groups to protect air, water, and land in Washington.
• Oversee facilities transitioning to deactivation, decommissioning, decontamination, and demolition.
• Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with Washington's dangerous waste requirements and federal regulations.
Requirements
• Experience with state and federal hazardous waste regulations.
• Ability to manage mixed waste safely.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with diverse groups.
Nice-to-haves
• Knowledge of the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA).
• Experience in environmental compliance and permitting.
