Scientist I, Formulation & Analytical Development
MannKind Corporation focuses on the development and commercialization of innovative inhaled therapeutic products and devices. The Associate Scientist, Formulation and Analytical Development works within the Product Development team, supporting formulation and analytical testing for parenteral drug products.
Responsibilities
- Prepare samples and reagents for analytical testing and formulation studies
- Perform routine laboratory testing using techniques such as HPLC, UV-Vis, syringe functionality (using mechanical tester), osmolality, rheometry, and particle size analysis
- Accurately document experimental procedures and results in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration and proper functioning
- Support method development, method transfer and validation activities as directed by senior staff
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with internal SOPs
Skills
- Associate's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field
- Minimum 1-3 years' experience in pharmaceuticals or biotech industry, including hands on lab experience
- Knowledgeable in analytical testing/techniques, such as HPLC and mechanical testing
- Awareness in pharmaceutical regulations, standards, guidance, GXP, and quality systems
- Teamwork and Leadership: Consistently follows through on commitments with quality work, demonstrates solid knowledge of function, and displays solid and growing communication skills
