Business Analyst
Capital Healthcare Planning is a leading healthcare strategic advisory firm in the United States. As a Business Analyst, you will analyze complex healthcare data to provide strategic insights that influence executive decisions across the country.
Responsibilities
- Work in a team setting to create robust analyses of our clients’ market and situation
- Develop succinct recommendations of strategic opportunities
- Turn data into actionable information for our clients
- Lead data collection and validation activities on a wide variety of client engagements across the country
- Provide integrated analytic solutions that uncover insights and influence client decision-making
- Create and participate in client presentations that summarize findings and communicate recommendations
- Support the broader consulting practice by integrating various data sets into tools that automate project delivery
- Conduct data collection and validation activities including standardization of key client inputs
- Develop dashboards and other tools to automate analysis of client strategic, operational and financial position
- Develop interactive tools to facilitate delivery of analysis to clients and to encourage a collaborative approach to problem definition
- Maintain, nurture, and expand client relationships by becoming a trusted strategic advisor
- Direct client-facing visibility with opportunities to learn and grow within the consulting industry
Skills
- Degree from a four-year university required
- Strong academic performance and high GPA
- Structured problem-solving ability: the capacity to define business problems, break them into analyzable components, prioritize high-impact issues, and synthesize data-backed recommendations
- Business acumen and client communication: ability to understand business drivers (revenue, cost, profitability dynamics), translate complex analyses into clear executive narratives, and build client relationships
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Thrive in fast-paced environments, working on multiple assignments at any given time
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Motivation and task orientation with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Creativity, self-confidence, and flexibility
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong expertise in Excel
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial statements and calculate key financial metrics (financial modeling/projection skills a plus)
- Analytic degrees such as accounting, economics, finance, statistics, business analytics, etc
- Database management and data visualization experience, including experience with Tableau (data unions and joins, Tableau calculations and parameters, dashboard development, etc.)
- Direct healthcare experience
