Underwriting Assistant

Acrisure is a global Fintech leader that offers multiple financial products and services. They are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Underwriting Assistant to support their Property & Casualty insurance underwriting team, assisting underwriters with policy processing, risk assessment support, and client service.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical support to underwriters in the review and processing of insurance applications
• Prepare, review, and issue policy documents, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations
• Perform preliminary risk assessments and identify missing or incomplete information
• Enter and maintain accurate data in underwriting and policy management systems
• Communicate with brokers, agents, and clients to obtain additional information or resolve discrepancies
• Assist in monitoring policy renewals, deadlines, and compliance requirements
• Prepare underwriting files, correspondence, and reports as needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely policy issuance
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries in a professional and timely manner

Skills

• Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
• Excellent computer skills (emailing, computer rating)
• Provide research and analytical skills to identify, gather and organize information to provide recommendations
• Proficiency in Microsoft office applications (particularly, excel, word, and outlook) in PC-windows operating system
• Ability to learn new software applications
• Proven ability to work with goals
• Demonstrated effective communication skills
• Multi-lingual in spoken Chinese (mandarin or cantonese)
• U.S. BACHELOR DEGREE MINIMUM
