Supply Analyst
nVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions, and they are seeking a Supply Analyst to analyze spend and support cost-reduction initiatives. The role involves collaborating with project leads, optimizing supply management systems, and ensuring effective sourcing processes.
Responsibilities
- Analyze spend across categories and perform detailed supply market analyses
- Partner with Project Leads and Managers to enable material cost-reduction initiatives
- Develop and implement supplier identification strategies and cost-comparison methodologies
- Ensure adherence to standardized sourcing processes and find opportunities for continuous improvement
- Optimize supply management software and systems to enhance data accuracy and reporting capabilities
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related degree
- 1+ years of experience in Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Procurement, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ability to prioritize multiple sourcing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in cost reduction initiatives, supplier negotiations, and market analysis
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and operations teams to support sourcing strategies
- Skilled in using logic and structured reasoning to identify root causes, evaluate options, and implement solutions
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Experience documenting and finding opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Familiarity with JDE, MRP/ERP systems, Sievo, Enovia, and Esker
