BRAND NEW | Workers’ Compensation Associate Attorney 100% REMOTE | Work with the best in the field | Defend Elite Clients (NBA, WNBA, Municipalities & First Responders) Hybrid / Remote across California Up to ~$315K total package (base + bonus) ⚖️ High-impact, defense-side work with real work-life balance ⭐ Highlights: • Elite, mission-driven client base – Professional sports organizations, Fortune 500s, public entities, police & fire, and municipalities. • Serious, interesting cases – Police/fire presumptions, public-safety claims, complex industrial injuries, major-loss files, and sports-related litigation. • Real work–life balance – ~11 units/day expectation, not “face time”; PTO is genuinely respected. • Big-league bonus upside – Associates regularly see $50k-6$60k in bonuses; high billers can reach $100K+. • Remote-first flexibility – Roughly 95% of work can be done from home; in-person appearances are planned and predictable. • Support to actually practice law – Strong assistant ratio, modern systems, and no micromanaging. • Growth & specialization – Work closely with certified specialists in workers’ comp; clear track toward equity partnership for those who want it. ⚖️ The Role: Workers’ Compensation Attorney (Defense) • Manage a full caseload of workers’ compensation matters ranging from routine to highly complex. • Develop and execute strategic litigation plans for each case. • Prepare case budgets where needed. • Conduct all aspects of discovery, including written discovery and depositions. • Appear at WCAB hearings, trials, and other court or agency proceedings as required. • Handle trials while maintaining strong, proactive communication with clients. • Draft motions, briefs, correspondence, and other substantive legal documents. • Prepare cases for settlement conferences, hearings, and trial. • Regularly communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and all relevant parties to advance case strategy and protect client interests.
