**What You'll Do**
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
• **Providing Exceptional Customer Service**: Interact with beneficiaries and providers via the helpline, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• **Creating and Mailing Correspondence**: Type, merge, proof, print, and mail correspondence, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• **Fostering Effective Relationships**: Develop and maintain effective working relationships between arenaflex's internal and external customers.
• **Identifying Areas for Improvement**: Participate in Review Team discussions to identify areas for potential improvement and contribute to process enhancements.
• **Answering Beneficiary Helpline**: Utilize the hunt group and available light functions to answer calls and determine the best course of action to assist callers.
• **Maintaining Timeliness**: Ensure that all letters are sent out in a timely manner, with correct components included and reviewed for grammatical and spacing errors.
• **Validating Notices and Medical Records**: Gather and validate notices and all components of medical records.
• **Providing Intake for Appeals**: Process intake for all appeals received by arenaflex.
• **Utilizing Quality Control Tools**: Assess individual work and team processes using internal quality control tools.
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
• **High School Diploma or Equivalent**: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with post-high school business courses a plus.
• **Medical Terminology**: Medical terminology is desired, but not required.
• **Excellent Verbal Communication Skills**: You must be courteous, patient, and customer-oriented, with the ability to maintain composure under potentially stressful situations.
• **Good Grammar, Punctuation, and Written Communications Skills**: You must have strong written communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• **Customer Focus and Results Orientation**: You must be customer-focused, results-oriented, and capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers.
• **General Knowledge of PC-Based Computer Systems**: A general knowledge of PC-based computer systems is desirable, with the ability to learn additional software packages as needed.
• **Multi-Tasking and Prioritization**: You must be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments effectively.
• **Good Organizational Skills**: You must have good organizational skills and be able to work independently.
**Experience**
We're looking for candidates with:
• **Two to Three Years of Clerical Experience**: Two to three years of clerical experience, including word processing, various filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities.
• **Prior Work in a Healthcare Setting**: Prior work in a healthcare setting or medical terminology is recommended, with previous data entry or other clerical experience a plus.
**Mental and Physical Requirements**
The physical demands of this role include:
• **Regularly Sitting for Prolonged Periods**: You'll be required to sit for prolonged periods of time.
• **Keying and/or Controlling Objects**: You'll need to key and/or control objects.
• **Interacting with Internal and External Customers**: You'll interact extensively with internal and external customers.
• **Occasional Lifting and/or Moving Objects**: You may occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
• **Occasional Travel**: You may occasionally travel within the state.
