Surfacing Gang & Foreperson - Oxfordshire

<strong>Department: </strong>Operations and Maintenance<br><br><strong>Location: </strong>Reading (Theale) Cement Depot & Concrete Plant<br><br><strong>Description<br><br></strong>Breedon Surfacing Solutions provide a wide range of asphalt surfacing contracting services across the UK, delivering a comprehensive asphalt surfacing solution for the construction and maintenance of public highways; infrastructure; residential and industrial developments and minor works. Our client base ranges from domestic and commercial clients to large contractors, local authorities and government bodies.<br><br><strong>Role<br><br></strong>We have a requirement for a gang that will operate in the Oxfordshire area. The gang will comprise of the following roles:<br><br>1 Foreperson<br><br>2 Screwmen<br><br>1 Paver Driver<br><br>2 Roller Driver<br><br>1 Tractor Driver<br><br>1 Banksperson<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Carry out work in accordance with instructions given by the Foreperson</li><li>Ensure all plant and equipment is properly maintained, safe to use and operated in the manner for which it was designed</li><li>Maintain all PPE to a high standard to ensure it is in a good serviceable condition</li><li>Support less experienced operatives</li><li>Maintain professional working practices</li><li>Ensure compliance with company rules, procedures and safety commitments</li><li>Report all accidents, incidents, near miss events, issues and concerns</li><li>Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the quality requirements of the specification<br><br></li></ul><strong>Skills, Knowledge & Expertise<br><br></strong><ul><li>Previous Surfacing Experience</li><li>CSCS card and driving license are essential for all roles</li><li>Paver, Roller and Tractor Drivers will be required to hold MPQC/CPCS tickets for the relevant plant<br><br></li></ul><strong>Job Benefits<br><br></strong><ul><li>25 days holiday plus bank holidays</li><li>Contributory Pension Scheme</li><li>Free on-site Parking</li><li>Volunteer Scheme</li><li>Share Save Scheme</li><li>Life Assurance</li><li>Enhanced Maternity, Adoption & Paternity Scheme</li><li>Health & Wellbeing Initiatives</li><li>Discount Scheme</li></ul>
