Finance Project Consultant /Accounting Focus/

As an Allround Junior/Medior Finance Project Consultant with a focus on accounting, you will support clients in strengthening their financial administration and improving accounting processes. You will work on both day-to-day finance operations and project-based assignments such as system implementations, process optimizations, and regulatory compliance. This role is ideal for finance professionals looking to develop a career at the intersection of accounting and consulting. • Assist clients with general ledger accounting, accounts payable/receivable, month-end and year-end closing activities. • Support financial reporting (internal and external), including preparation of balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow overviews. • Participate in the implementation and optimization of accounting systems (e.g., Exact, SAP, AFAS, Twinfield). • Conduct reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data and transactions. • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes. • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., Dutch GAAP, IFRS) and internal controls. • Work on projects such as shared service center transitions, internal audit support, and financial data migrations. • Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders, including finance managers and controllers. • Support budgeting and forecasting processes where needed. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or a related field. • 1–4 years of experience in accounting, financial administration, or audit. • Solid knowledge of core accounting principles and financial processes. • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Exact, AFAS, Twinfield, SAP, Oracle). • Strong Excel skills; experience with Power BI or other reporting tools is a plus. • Analytical mindset and attention to detail. • Good communication skills in English. • Proactive, hands-on, and eager to develop in both operational and project environments. • A varied and dynamic position combining operational accounting with finance project work. • Exposure to a broad client portfolio across sectors such as corporate, nonprofit, and public sector. • Opportunities for personal and professional development, including training in systems and methodologies. • Supportive team culture with room for autonomy and initiative. • Competitive compensation, travel allowance, and benefits.
