Lead Analyst of Commercial & Enterprise Payments (Remote)

About the position As the Lead Analyst of Commercial & Enterprise Payments at Escalent, you will be responsible for leading the research and analysis of trends in commercial payments and fintech. This role involves developing insights and identifying opportunities for various financial service entities, including banks and payment service providers. You will work remotely and collaborate with a national team to service top payment brands, ensuring the delivery of high-quality research and consulting services. Responsibilities • Lead Javelin's Commercial & Enterprise payments practice with responsibility for revenue and income targets. • Develop business and relationships with new clients and serve as a trusted advisor to existing clients. • Author and develop new research reports incorporating quantitative and qualitative data and analysis. • Identify topics of the highest value to clients and determine the annual research calendar. • Develop and publicize research findings, recommendations, and predictions that are timely, specific, actionable, and defendable. • Design and oversee survey questionnaires with the assistance of the research team. • Develop scorecards and forecasts and incorporate findings into reports and consulting work. • Ensure all custom and consulting project elements are completed to meet client requirements. • Present proposals, manage projects to a budget, make revisions, and work toward profitable outcomes. • Maintain a high industry profile among peers, evidenced by media citations, social media impact, and client choice. • Present at conferences, industry events, and webinars. Requirements • 10 years in a commercial payments, cash/treasury management role, related leadership function, industry analyst or management consulting role. • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent, with strong oral and written communication skills and a solid analytic perspective. • Experience in the commercial aspects of payments, with a deep understanding of cash management and treasury functions, cross-border transactions, RTP, and control systems that facilitate money movement in a B2B context. • Expertise in working with products such as Mastercard Send and Visa Direct is a plus. • Ability to elaborate trends and business insights in a structured written form.
