About the Role

As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing data products and features in collaboration with product owners, data analysts, and business partners. Your expertise will contribute to the overall architecture, frameworks, and standards for processing and evaluating big data. You will play a crucial role in evaluating new technologies, tools, and frameworks aimed at processing large volumes of data, translating product backlog items into logical units of engineering work, and implementing distributed data processing pipelines using prevalent tools and languages in the big data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data products and features in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to the overall architecture, frameworks, and standards for big data processing and evaluation.
  • Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks for processing large volumes of data.
  • Implement distributed data processing pipelines using tools and languages prevalent in the big data ecosystem.
  • Build tools, user-defined functions, libraries, and frameworks to better enable data flow patterns.
  • Collaborate with engineering leads and other teams to ensure quality solutions are implemented and technical best practices are defined and followed.
  • Create and participate in automated unit tests and integration tests.
  • Use and extend continuous integration and deployment frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Work in teams to resolve operational and performance issues.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Information Systems, and at least 2 years of experience in a related position. Proficiency in a range of technologies is essential, including but not limited to:
