Home Health Coding & Quality Assurance Specialist

The Role: We are seeking a Home Health Coding & QA Specialist with strong expertise in home health coding, Quality Assurance (QA), and Review Choice Demonstration (RCD) compliance. The ideal candidate is meticulous, compliance-driven, and passionate about supporting clinicians with accurate coding and documentation review that ensures both patient care quality and regulatory success. Key Responsibilities: • Review and code home health records in alignment with CMS guidelines, ICD-10 coding rules, and agency policies. • Conduct OASIS data validation and ensure documentation accuracy for clinical and billing compliance. • Oversee QA processes, identifying and correcting documentation deficiencies before submission. • Manage RCD compliance processes, ensuring documentation packets are audit-ready and complete. • Collaborate with clinical staff to provide feedback and education on documentation improvement. • Track and report coding/QA metrics to leadership for continuous improvement. Qualifications: • HCS-D Certification required. • OASIS certification preferred. • Active clinical license RN or LVN strongly preferred. • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in home health coding and QA. • Solid knowledge of CMS guidelines, home health regulations, and RCD requirements. • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively with clinicians.
